London Baby Show Overview+Competition

Yesterday I attended the baby show in Olympia London. It is the UK’s leading pregnancy and parenting event that takes place every year. I remember when I was expecting my first baby it was not easy to decide which cot or pushchair to choose and we were not too sure about all the stuff we needed to buy. I think this kind of event is really helpful:  different brands are gathered at the same place, you can touch and compare the products.

Another great thing about the shows is that you can meet and talk to the founders, you can discover the story and passion behind each brand. This is what I love the most.

I won’t detail here all the brands that I have seen. There were too many including lots of well known brands like Chicco, iCandy, Vtech, Mothercare etc.  And as I have almost everything I need for my babies I was interested in discovering something new, unique, something I have never seen before.

As I attended the show together with my 8 months baby it was not easy to stop at each stand, so here is the list of the brands and the products that have particularly caught my eye. All of them are British brands.

Buggi lights

Buggi lightsBuggi lights is a family business based in London. As the name indicates, these are lights that you attach on your buggy. You can also them for kids’ scooter. The lights are visible from 500 meters away in the dark. I think this can be really very useful especially in winter with shorter days.

Lulluby shades

Lulluby shadesLulluby shade is a pushchair shade that integrates music system. I think it must be really nice to have it especially in a big city, so that the baby can listen to music rather than the noise of cars 🙂

Magnet Mouse

Magnet MouseMagnet Mouse is also a British brand and it does baby clothes without fiddly poppers. The idea is great! and the design was also very nice.

Kneepal

Kneepal – You know that pain in your knees when you give a bath to your baby? The guys at Kneepal invented something which cushions your knees and supports your back while kneeling. I have tested it and it was really soft.

Snugglebundl

Snugglebundl – Snugglebundl is  a baby-lifting blanket. I remember my midwife using something similar to weigh my baby during her visit 🙂 I think Snugglebudl is a great invention for newborns, you lift them safely without waking them up.

adleroflondon

Adler of London

Adler of LondonAdler of London is a monthly subscription for kids clothing. Once subscribed you receive stylist-selected kids outfits according to your style profile that you create on their website. You can choose the subscription length or stop the subscription whenever you want. I think it is a nice gifting idea.

I really enjoyed the baby show and I think so did my little baby Sofia, who fell fast asleep at the end 🙂  sofia

  1. What a clever idea to not have any of those annoying poppers on baby clothes! I love that! I see you have Sebamed in your giveaway, what a great product! I adore them! Thanks for linking up with #globalblogging
